North South Rural Voice

North South Rural voice will provide support and training to community groups in the border region by:

Supporting and facilitating the ongoing development of new and existing Protestant and other minority groups.

Assisting groups with their own development and encouraging them to adopt innovative approaches in their development work.

Helping groups to assess their training needs in relation to community development and providing such training as necessary.

Delivering training in committee skills, fundraising, financial record keeping, planning and other areas as may be necessary for the maintenance and progression of groups.

Investigating and mapping the nature and extent of the support structure currently in place for community development of marginalised and minority groups in rural communities along the border.

Developing a programme of capacity and confidence building in response to identified need, and, mindful of the work of existing organisations in this area, ensuring that collaborative working and consultation is integral to this process.

Organising seminars and other events in response to the identified needs of communities.
